Terms of Use

1. The service

Arpent is a daily tile-placement game. It offers a shared daily game, training games, scores, streaks, friend features, and, on Discord, server rankings and reminders.

The service is independently operated under the name Arpent.

2. Access requirements

You must meet the minimum age required to use Discord in your country and comply with Discord’s rules and applicable law. Access is free and intended for personal use unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Arpent creates a pseudonymous browser profile. Linking a Discord account is optional on the website, but required to use the same profile in the Activity and join server features.

3. Acceptable use

You must not:

• disrupt, overload, probe, or bypass protections applied to the service;
• automate requests or manipulate scores, rankings, or streaks;
• use an unlawful, deceptive, hateful, or rights-infringing profile name;
• use the service for commercial, fraudulent, or malicious purposes without permission.

A daily game cannot be restarted once it has begun. Scores and rankings are provided for entertainment only and are not a prize competition or an official ranking.

4. Content and intellectual property

The Arpent name, interface, copy, artwork, and service code remain the property of their respective owners. Using the service does not transfer any intellectual-property rights to you.

You remain responsible for the display name you choose. When you voluntarily share a result, you allow Arpent to display the associated display name, board, and score through the share link.

5. Availability and changes

The service is provided as is. It may be fixed, changed, suspended, or discontinued for maintenance, security, or game-development reasons. Continuous availability and permanent retention of games or rankings are not guaranteed.

To the extent allowed by law, the operator is not liable for indirect loss, data loss, Discord outages, or unavailability caused by third-party services. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

6. Suspension

Access may be limited or suspended in response to abuse, fraud, security threats, or a breach of these terms. Proportionate measures may be taken to protect the service and other players.

7. Personal data

Data processing is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

8. Changes to these terms

These terms may change to reflect the game, the law, or Discord requirements. The revision date appears at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated reasonably through the service.

9. Applicable law and contact

These terms apply subject to the mandatory rules of the country where you live. Any dispute will be handled by the courts designated under applicable law.
